The Gracias-Merci Raffle 2010 has been a success! Thanks to all who supported and participated in the raffle. The winning tickets have been chosen.

Purpose: Improve education at South Boulevard Elementary, a public school magnet program in which students are taught 60% of their day entirely in the target foreign language. By 3rd grade, students are becoming fluent in either Spanish or French. In 2009, our children made South Boulevard Elementary a 4-star school, with a State Performance Score of 129.4!
This raffle will provide opportunities such as teacher grants, allow purchase of books, software, playground equipment and much, much more. This site will allow you to see how funds are being spent.

How do I get tickets?
All South Boulevard families are selling tickets right now. If you don't know a family, you can email gracias-merci-raffle@cox.net to obtain tickets. Each ticket is $50 apiece. Cash or check payable to FLAIM PTO. Sharing the cost of a ticket is permitted.
How much can I possibly win?
Prize structure: 1st(20% of sales-$4,000 cap); 2nd (10 % of sales-$2,000 cap); 3rd (5% of sales-$1,000 cap); and consolation prizes ($25-$50 each, totaling 5% of sales-$1,000 cap)
When will the winners be selected?
Winners will be selected in a "Draw Down" event at the school, 802 Mayflower Street, Baton Rouge, LA (click address for map) at 5PM on February 24, 2010. Winner need not be present to win; however, if present, holders of the last three tickets to be drawn may choose to split the winnings equally. We will contact the winners, and all winning numbers will be posted on this site.
